Why Don’t You Need a License to Start a Group Home?
If you’ve been researching how to start a Group Home, you’re probably confused about where to even begin.
One article says one thing, then you make a call and someone tells you something else, then you try to verify that and you continue on this circle to nowhere for HOURS…and in some cases….YEARS!
Look, there is a lot of money in confusion. There are a lot of consultants, lawyers, Government agencies, contractors etc. that would like to collect fees and your money on the path to YOUR Group Home Riches.
Stop dumping your money and time down the toilet!
We show you a business model that has worked for hundreds of students and our organization for almost 20 years.
AND YOU COULD REPLICATE IT IN THE NEXT 30 – 60 DAYS!!
Don’t take my word for it though, check out the links below with real life examples of Group Home Entrepreneurs shattering the common myths and misconceptions that you’ve probably come across before. Are these MYTHS holding you back? If so
So why don’t you need a license???
This is the first thing you need to wrap your head around. You CAN become a licensed facility, but it is not REQUIRED. Listen to ANY INTERVIEW HERE on our Podcast and you’ll notice that nobody mentions the licensing process. Why is that?
Because nobody went through it!
There are advantages to becoming licensed for sure, but the disadvantages are the cost, time, energy, confusion, and regulation that comes with it. Follow the same laws that any other housing provider in your area needs to follow, and any additional regulation just because you are housing (INSERT ANY POPULATION SEGMENT HERE) would be against the FEDERAL FAIR HOUSING ACT (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO).
Another issue you might have come across is that some cities that have language in the local property code limiting the amount of “Unrelated Occupants” in a home. The number is typically six, but these laws can be challenged using FEDERAL LAW. CLICK HERE to read about additional federal laws that our member used to challenge in Austin, Texas, and listen to what MERLINE DID HERE when dealing with Code Compliance. All she had to do with the Code Enforcement official was MENTION the Federal Law and she never heard from them again! The OXFORD HOUSE (CLICK HERE) is a national chain of Sober Homes that does this routinely.
CLICK HERE for the full breakdown in legalese as to why your local area cannot discriminate against you and your tenants. We are not lawyers, but even we know that Federal Law trumps any local laws!
So you don’t need a license…OR A LOT OF MONEY!!!
With our business model, many members get started with as little as $1500 – $2500 by leasing or using a number of other creative strategies we teach in our course like JAMIE DID (LISTEN TO HIS INTERVIEW HERE). In fact, the material in our course is SO VALUABLE, that if you learn it and become an asset, Real Estate investors will want to partner with you! This is how many people get started with ZERO of their own funds. Listen to how SHERL GOT STARTED LIKE THIS HERE.
Using the systems taught, this does not become a full time job until you have about 10 properties. However, with the revenue that will be coming in, you can typically REPLACE yourself around property #5, JUST LIKE OUR FOUNDER DID (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN). Listen to how Jose replaced his full time job’s income in just about 6 months HERE.
Look, the process really can be very simple. Find a home, get it set up LIKE THIS, market the home, and follow the simple business systems that we teach OUR FREE 10-PART COURSE.
There are a lot of other details, but that is where we come in 🙂
